For the Intergalactic Aerospace Exposition 2950 I had the pleasure of concepting the building complex where the Expo will take place. Since this building would be reused for eventually multiple years to come it was challenging creating something unique but at the same time multipurpose. The complex consists of one big, circular main room that will fit the biggest of the available showrunner ships, equipment, weaponry and smaller vehicles.
The smaller rooms will fit small to medium ships, they feature an all around display on all walls with the small showcase ship being let in a dropdown in the middle. Leading down from the small rooms are multiple smaller rooms, potentially filled with land vehicles, weapons or in the finished in-game version - holograms.
All of the upper level smaller rooms will lead to the medium halls, showing multiple ships, vehicles and displays with a medium showcase ship draped in the middle of the more vertical hall.
Having a look at possible colours, materials, logo variations, signage and props this facility was incredibly enjoyable to work on.
Big shoutout to Boy Sichterman I had the pleasure of working with during the whole concept phase. Gregory Chryssaphes for letting me use his finished rover and keyart for some of the advertisement. And also of course all the environment, lighting, prop, UI and the rest of the responsible teams bringing that Expo to life, you guys doing amazing stuff!
